I'm bouncing around my house like a madman. On Sunday, myself and the usual suspects are going to Vancouver to go see DJ Shadow. As I'm sure most of you know, he's my favourite artist of the last few years to say the least. But that's not all.

My thoughts are racing at the possibility of being able to move to Van. I'm having an phone interview and hopefully an actual one when I get there for a video game company to do their physics programming. Holy crap, it's pretty much the ideal job and lifestyle that I could imagine. It's still only a possibility but it's entertaining to think about to say the least.

Most memorable quote I've heard recently: "So, we could end our night right now..." as Brendan looks over at a couple of...heavy set girls at Dub at the Pub, followed by much laughter.

Calgary has been treating me very well recently, all my friends back in town, partying galour. Fun IS fun.

Right now I've been diggin Booka Shade, Underworld, Elite Force, and Amon Tobin. Must get back to electronic roots.

I've been thinking about an argument that vegetarian lifestyle in of itself produces violence or requires it. I'm going to have it polished soon, this will be fun. Let's just say that the main issues are domestication of plants, reasons for war, human nature and a realist perspective.

I think that classism is the biggest issue when it comes to our society, but there may be no other alternative. We need to have people in society with power, to lead you must be able to direct as well. This naturally leads itself to a class distinction, because of the inequality. As well, I don't think it's an issue we can fiscally cure without having to give up other areas, such as environmental policy, health, education, etc... Who knows though.

UFC 63 comin up, I might entertain some bets if anyone is down...Alan.

aloha all

I realize that I am a hunter. Being a carnivore (ok, ok omnivore) it comes naturally. I chase things; ideas, concepts and yes, girls. How long until the predator becomes prey? It'd be nice to have realizations appear without any work, but I'm not naive as such. Nothing worth achieving is easy.

Harlan Ellison wrote back to me, or at least the editors from his newsletter did. That made me feel good.

The tailored linen suit I had made in Thailand finally arrived. Too bad it's after labour day.

DJ Shadow in a week and a half, my mind is going to be blown quite thoroughly.

Tutoring high school kids in math and science is actually very rewarding. They all seem to like me and I'm diggin the fact that somebody will/has to listen to me talk about math for an hour at a time.

The finals of the Open Weight GP in PRIDE is this weekend. My picks are Wanderlei over Cro-cop, Nog over Barnett, and Nog taking it all. I know that nobody knows what this means or cares, but I'm still putting it up dammit so I have proof!

After a lengthy time of being unable to read, I've picked it up again. For the past couple of weeks, I haven't been able to concentrate on a book for more than a few minutes. Now I have finished 3 in the last couple of days so it's all good.

Dahn yoga is bunk. My back was fucked up for 4 days afterwards, even worse than it usually is. I'll have to continue looking around for a better solution.

Sexual frustration is cured by working out like a madman, at least somewhat.

My most recent quote: "Just go out with no expectations, and the world will suprise you."

I hope all my readers are healthy and happy.
