Just so you know...

Also, I have a short rant on snacking. It's bad for you, all the research you've seen recently on that "it keeps your metabolism up" and similar is flawed because it is lacking one part. Human psychology. When you have a proper meal, with other people, you are under a bit of social pressure. You can't eat like a pig and shovel food in, you can't have several plates worth, and you can't eat the worst possible things for you. All the other people (well, I will at least) will say, "What the hell? C'mon, that's disgusting." We eat together not only for the enjoyment of it, but to keep each other in check.

If you are just snacking, you generally do it alone. Generally snacking foods are highly processed, and easy to eat a lot of; so you can sit there the entire afternoon and just push food into your disgorged gullet. That's the problem with eating habits in North America, set meal times are a thing of the past. People just tend to eat all the time. So dammit people, phone up some friends, go to dinner or make dinner with them, sit down and enjoy yourselves.

The reason I say this is two reasons. The first is that one of my French friends who visited the US noticed they had no fixed meal times, and everyone was just constantly eating, and he was both disgusted and frustrated. The other was that I've known quite a few girls over the years, and most especially in Paris, and they are all prone to snacking. Guess who got fat? Wait for you meals people.

Let me clear my throat, kick it over here baby pop, and feel the beat drop!

So, I haven't made a real post in awhile, I've just been copping out with picture posts. Weak, very weak.

I received one of the best compliments recently. As it was put, "If I didn't know you and I shook your hand, I'd immediately trust you." I've got a great handshake, no joke. Don't be a jerk and squish someone's hand, and don't be a wimp and have a limp dick hand. Give it a reassuring squeeze (but not creepy like), and two good shakes.

I saw Justice in concert, quite the show. For those of you not in the know, they are the new French thing. Post Daft Punk, they are a pretty good reflection of the current French music scene. If you get a chance to see them in concert, it is highly recommended. They put on an epic show.

Randy Couture coming back to fight Brock Lesnar is a poor, poor idea. The fight is going to sell well, and be a one sided beating. Also of note, my most awesome girlfriend suggested that we go to see UFC 89 in Birmingham, well I sure didn't take any convincing. Oh snap, my first event in a month in a half.

Google Chrome is a nice browser if you are just doing very basic browsing. Checking the news, and flipping through some forums is fine. It should be noted that anything you write or create in it, is property of Google after. I trust Google and all, but not that much. That being said, good lord is the browser fast and slick. It's a joy to use if it wasn't for the copyright crap.

I have my own project at work. Whoot! It's nice to be able to control everything, and just say to yourself "I'm on it." I like stress at work, and being busy. That's what they pay you for.

Not a whole lot else right now although there have been multiple occasions I've thought "Wow, that'd be good in a blog entry." Too bad I can't remember any of them.
